The Church Relocation Project
The Church is currently contemplating the possibility of relocating to Eastern Beirut. The project entails the selling of the current property, situated in West Beirut, and searching for a multi-thousand square meters land to construct new premises for the Church.
This quest is bolstered by the faithful recognition that Church expansion is our vision based on the propensity of growth in number at a location that is predominantly Christian. To achieve the aforementioned, the Church is considering various mechanisms to achieve that end:
ØA committee was appointed by the BBFI and FBC, comprising of four qualified members, representatives of the mission and the Church to oversee the accuracy of implementing all legal policies emanating from undertaking the process of relocation.
ØTwo members of this committee, representing BBFI and FBC, respectively, have been given power of attorney to sell (BBFI) and transfer monies (FBC) in serving the purposes of relocation.
ØOnce a new property is incorporated, a pristine building for the Church that has been designed in norms with local laws and regulations will be established, with the potential of expanding as per available funds. The engineering design encompasses a spacious basement for Church social gatherings, a modern hall for meetings and an upper floor dedicated for Sunday school and administrative offices.
This project might also involve, at least in theory, the construction of a nearby Evangelical school on the same premises, provided as permitted by law and taking into consideration space allocations and funds limitations.
The estimated period for activating and implementing this strategic plan can vary anywhere between 3 and 5 years. The project has been conceived in 2008; however, official implementation is yet to be installed, and the Church is diligently hoping once all pertaining legal issues and paperwork have been taken care of to launch its project officially in 2010.
We wholeheartedly pray that the Lord strengthens our brothers in fulfilling their vision while serving His glorious and majestic name, and delightfully thereby invite you to partake in supporting prayers.
